Well ... I am blind ... first off .... system am playing it on.
AMD x64 6400 dual core CPU (dual 3.0ghz)
4Gb RAM
MSI K9n sli Platinum mobo
nVidia GF8800GT x 2 (sli enabled) graphics cards
4TB of HDD space
Right .... installed over a period of about 30 minutes in the end .... and the problems which were encountered on the post above seemed mainly to be that steam just wasnt playing.
SO eventually ... I noticed that even though the game completely installed from the two DVD's, once hooked up to Steam, it needed to download a further couple hundred mb of content, and due to the servers being busy, that took another 15 minutes or so, even on my 50mb cable broadband.
BUT .... and I say this with a BUT ....
SO WORTH THE DAMN WAIT !!!
Jesus H .... straight in there ... a little intro messing about training session and a little run through a building or two to hone in your skills again ... and then right into it.
Being the nutter that I am ... I wades right in with Veteran mode .... and off I went to the front line.
First stage was to cover the guys as they placed a temp bridege over a river, adn that was intense enough until we jumped into the hummers and your on the gun on the roof .... awesome.
Gameplay was frantic, some amazing effects already, and onto the third stage now, where I am getting my butt well and trully kicked in !!!
One intersting aspect which I found during initial setup was that it come up with this screen ...

Of course I am not easilly offended but had a suspicion what it might be .... upon reachng the second stage I think it may be that one as you walk through a train station and kill everyone ... its like a mass killing by a terrorist Russian thing ..... but if its not that .... then no idea what will come, but that in its own right was a good stage ....
Right am off now, but here is a little phone snap of the gameplay graphics .... trully an amazing game. Infinity Ward have done an epic job so far.

Go buy it ..... oh .. the prestige edition comes with a set of Night Vision goggles too .. real ones ... sets you back £100 though !!!
