The Technology Vault is proud to offer our visitors a new news service. Recognising the future potential of Codename: Dashboard, you can now get live up to the minute news and update information on your desktop in the Dashboard sidebar. The Technology Vault news service joins other news feeds like The BBC, theregister, C-Net, Tech-Critic and others big names.

What you need to get our news on your desktop

1. First, you will need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework. You can get the .NET Framework by going to Windows Update. Be warned, it is a very large download at around 20mb but you only have to do it once.

2. Once downloaded, you will need to visit Windows Update again and get Service Pack 2 and install that.

3. You need to download the Codename Dashboard software from HERE, HERE or HERE

4. The software comes with a number of installed components but components can be installed or removed to taste. New componets are being made all the time. To install the Technology Vault component you need to make sure that the Dashboard is running and then click on THIS LINK. Your Technology Vault newsfeed should now be installed.

You can learn more about Codename: Dashboard from the Stop Network website HERE
